DIY Kids Space

Written by contributing blogger, Christine Martin.
Children are whimsical. So, it is not unusual that their rooms are reflected as such. Wanting to change the color of walls or add a new theme is common for kids to want to do as they grow into their spaces. The trick is to introduce fresh aspects that don't break the bank and are easy to change. Luckily, there are countless DIY ideas for parents who want to add something different to their kid's interior. Here are three great ones.
1. Crib turned to chalk craft table. Reuse a significant piece of furniture that can be useful for a while longer. Take off the mattress, add some chalk paint or a chalkboard surface and a couple of mini stools. Your kids will enjoy a crafty nook.
2. Paint furniture legs with fun patterns and colors. The best part of this is that they can be easily repainted.
3. Lighting can change the atmosphere of a space easily. Paper lanterns are inexpensive and with a little extra touch, they can make a difference. This one is paper garland that adds texture and color.
