This year, almost everywhere I turned I saw the word “believe” on so many holiday decorations. In the world we live in “believe” takes on many meanings especially now when it is easy to be jaded and disappointed with where the world seems headed. But “believe” is a powerful thing, whether you are thinking of a higher power or even Santa Clause, because even though that idea conceptualizes something separate from ourselves it really means that we look within ourselves and hopefully “believe” in what’s inside us and our ability to become all that we hope to be or will be. That’s a tall order and to be reminded of that purpose can only be a good thing.So, my short-term goal is to create a “believe” piece of art, in different languages that is simple, straightforward and meaningful. Before I begin, I’d like to know what does “believe” mean to you?
