Hope, opportunity and freedom have long been associated with birds and flight. These birds are made through a women's cooperative created by hand from mothers in an impoverished area in Mexico. The work in making the products offer creative expression. The money they earn through fair trade of these products offer economic opportunity, which provides independence and a lesson to their children, especially girls, that women can become strong and successful, that they can control their own future.

Children Inspire Design supports the women's cooperative by having initally taught the women how to create the birds and by purchasing their handcraft and designing them into these mobiles and ornaments. Perfect for a nursery, a playroom or entryway, the bird collection gives rise to opportunity and hope for the community that makes them and love for the home that receives them.

Each bird mobile unit includes 6 handcrafted birds and a Kikkerland metal mobile unit. Measures approximately 24 inches high by 30 inches wide. Some assembly required.
