Designer of the Day - Marc Loret

This week, our post for Designer of the Day features Marc Loret, a French photographer. He encourages you to look at the world around you, experience the day to day "tiny miracles" in nature.
His beautiful photography features everything from the romantic scenery of Paris to the simple things in nature. Marc's fans adore his artistic touch just as much as we do!
Our favorite Marc Loret design: Les Deux Baudets. This piece captures an incredible amount of ordinary beauty. "This French photographer is able to make two donkeys seem romantic," says Rebecca Peragine of Children Inspire Design. "Well done. I am in love with all of his artwork!"

Deck the halls with monster garland, Fa la la la la, la la la la!
This week we shine the spotlight on Gwendolyn Garcia, a 26 year old designer originally from New York. Gwendolyn has been inspired by many things and people, from pop culture to characters she loved as a child. She started creating these banners to add a little whimsy to her craft room, and ended up decided to share them with others.
Her fans love her well crafted ornaments and garlands. We especially love her Kawaii Monster Garland Banner. "I love her garland because of it's originality," says Rebecca Peragine of Children Inspire Design. "I'm ordering these for my boy's room for sure!"
Each monster is hand stitched and measures 4x4. The banner has a total of eight monsters and measures out to 32" in length with no gaps in between. However, as pictured below, you are able to arrange the monsters on the chord any way you would like.
Gwendolyn doesn't just make these cute garlands, she also makes ornaments, magnets, tote bags, stuffed animals, pins and rings. Visit her Flickr page for more photos are her creations.

We love the Stacy Winters style! The photographer from San Diego likes to point her lens at nature, creatures, and vintage items (bio). Her fans say the style is bright, clean, and whimsical. Of course, we agree. We're big fans, too!
"Stacy creates soft, whimsical images while maintaining a clever twist," says Rebecca Peragine of Children Inspire Design. "I could see her art in an adult setting as much as a child's."
Our favorite Stacy Winters Design: The butterfly mini garland. Winters says this piece is precious hanging across a window, over a doorway, or on a sliding glass door. You could even use the garland to decorate for birthdays, showers, or an anniversary.
